Grandpa Meets His Newborn Grandson For The First Time Through Window

Most of us have probably pictured various unregular scenarios that humankind would have to face due to the recent outbreak. But I admit that this emotional situation has never passed my mind.

It is well known that the elderly generation and newborns have a higher risk of serious illness from the pandemic.

So what happens when these two generations want to meet for the first time? How will it go when a grandparent would like to hold its grandchildren for the first time? Well, here’s an example of a loving grandpa who wouldn’t miss a chance to meet his new grandson.

Just a few days back, a heartwarming image has spread over social media and tugged at people’s hearts, leaving people completely emotional. The picture shows an elderly man standing outside the window and stares at his beautiful newborn grandson with shining eyes for the first time.

The sister of Míchéal Gallachoir, the new dad, posted this inspiring image on Twitter, which shows Míchéal’s father meeting for the first time, Faolán, his first grandchild through the window glass to protect both the senior grandpa and the adorable newborn.

Alongside the image Emma, the sister added: “Three generations of social distancing as my dad meets his grandson for the first time. [sic]”

Ever since she posted the emotional image, it was retweeted almost 95K times and has amassed more than 706 comments and reactions!

She had to show her love back and shared a follow-up post, which reads: “Thanks everyone for your lovely messages! The good news is baby Faolán is doing great and oblivious to his new fame. Also Faolán is my nephew and it is my brother Míchéal holding him. His Mammy (whose name is also Emma) took the picture. [sic]”

Although Irish baby Faolán is still a youngster, he and his grandpa are a social media sensation! We were happy to hear that Faolán is a healthy baby and enjoys his first weeks on planet Earth.

Emma continued: “My dad is also doing well and is completely oblivious to his new fame. He wouldn’t let me take a pic of him, but he’s smiling! My brother lives about 2 minutes away from him so he went up to say hello. He knew he couldn’t come in. He is looking forward to holding the baby soon. [sic]”

And as these photos are surely heartwarming, we still strongly advise to stay at home and wait for the right moment when the outbreak is over to do these kinds of things for “it will never happen to me” don’t work this time. Till then, please stay at home.
